It’s the first thing that you’re going to interact with when you get home from work and it is also the last thing you pass before leaving the house.  This is where you put down your purse, drop your keys, keep your umbrella, and store your shoes. The construction of the table you will get for your entryway or foyer can be of many kinds of material.  The most common ones are made of wood or those with finishes of the look of wood, like solid birch, cherry, oak, or maple.  Some come in a fantastic combination of glass and metal or even surfaces of stone like granite and marble.  All of the materials that can be used for the entry tables add a stunning quality to your hallway or entryway.  They also make a convenient and versatile surface in what is usually a small room. 

The number of drawers can be your choice. You can have one that comes built-in with a rack for your umbrellas, drawers for your gloves and scarves, and also larger shelves on the lower part of the table to keep your shoes in so you don’t have to trek dirt, mud and snow into the main part of your house.  The entry tables that you choose can be as simple as possible or those with intricately designed face and legs.  Some tables, usually the round ones, have glass tops on them to make it easy for cleaning and maintaining the finish of the wood.  Nothing says welcome more than a table in the entryway.
